BMW
promotional video
This project showcases how a luxury brand can be reimagined by blending humour, lifestyle relatability, and premium aesthetics. The final video achieves the dual aim of presenting technical skills in editing and filming while delivering a conceptually
strong and original piece.
The creative concept behind my video, "How to convince your girlfriend you need a BMW", was designed to merge BMW's aspirational qualities with a relatable, light-hearted narrative. Cars are often marketed towards male buyers using performance-driven or status-oriented messaging. I wanted to invert this by shifting the perspective toward the girlfriend, turning her into the "decision-maker" in the purchase.
This creative direction guided the filming style. Instead of purely glossy, cinematic visuals, I chose a mixture of polished B-roll and conversational, character-led shots. This balance allowed me to highlight key features of the BMW 4 Series, such as the large tyres, comfort access, cupholders, boot space, seatbelt arm, and sunroof, while anchoring them in relatable, everyday scenarios that a "passenger princess" might care about.
